Notice to Candidates on NDA Screening Test State Selection

Please be informed that the window for the selection of States for the NDA Screening Test (NDAST) has closed. The Nigerian Defence Academy operates a strict timeline, and all candidates are expected to follow instructions within the stipulated timeframes.

It is the responsibility of every candidate to monitor their email regularly for information, notifications, and updates from the Academy. The information on the registration timeline sent to candidates personally through email was also available on the application portal, NDA website and various social media handles for candidates' awareness.

Any candidate who did not register within the stipulated timeline has thus been excluded from the NDA Screening Test scheduled for 20 June 2026. All are to note accordingly.

This is to inform all candidates invited for the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) 78 Regular Course Screening Test that, due to a clash with the JAMB mop-up examination, the NDA Screening Test earlier scheduled for Saturday, 13 June 2026 has been rescheduled to Saturday, 20 June 2026. This update follows the earlier NDA announcement fixing the test for 13 June 2026.

Candidates are advised to take note of the new date and make the necessary arrangements to be present at their designated centres on 20 June 2026. All other instructions previously communicated regarding the screening test remain valid unless otherwise stated.

Furthermore, candidates who selected states with low turnout have been re-assigned to neighbouring states for the conduct of the screening test, as indicated in the table below. Affected candidates are advised to check their updated test locations carefully and comply accordingly.

NDA Screening Test Invitation Emails

We have noticed that some invitation emails for the NDA Screening Test may not have reached applicants due to email delivery issues or messages being directed to junk folders. Therefore, applicants who successfully submitted their applications, achieved a score above 180 in the JAMB UMTE and are yet to receive their invitation letters, should please attempt to log in to the application portal and select their preferred state for the screening test.

Applicants to the 78 Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) are hereby notified that the NDA Screening Test (NDAST) will hold on Saturday 13 June 2026 in EVERY State of the Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory. Eligible candidates for the NDAST are those who scored 180 and above in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board in April 2026. Furthernore, such candidates must have selected the NDA as their first-choice institution. Eligible candidates for the NDAST would receive an email on 20 May 2026 prompting them to select the location (State) of choice for the test. The selection of location (State) of choice for the test is to be done latest by 24 May 2026.

It is instructive for the candidates to select their State of residence as the choice of location for the NDAST as the test would hold nationwide. Candidates shall subsequently be notified their allocated centre by the first week of June 2026. Other information would be available in the email to be sent to eligible candidates.
